Timothy Archambault
Onimikìg [Algonquin]:
(n. an.)- thunder
Timothy Archambault’s 10 flute compositions, hand-inscribed on birchbark for his album *Onimikìg* (2024), are inspired by Indigenous brontomancy (divination by thunder). Each piece features a different extended flute technique that relates to various thunder sounds: claps, peals, rolls, rumbles, inversions, and CG (cloud-to-ground).
